We're thrilled to announce the return of our Stuffed with Style event
Sunday April 14th
We’re doing it a little differently this year and will be hosting at a new venue
- Porthleven Public Hall -
2pm - 3pm
A sustainable style event in Porthleven, Cornwall.
Donate what you no longer wear, stuff a bag with new-to-you styles
What is Stuffed with Style?
Secondhand fashion is having a huge resurgence, keeping clothes within the local community is by far the most sustainable way to grab a whole new wardrobe.
At our events this is exactly what we aim to do. You can come and fill a bag with a selection of secondhand mens, womens and childrens clothing to wear and give a new life to for only £10!? (£5 if you’ve been before!)
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We’re doing things a little differently this year as we will be hosting this event at
Porthleven Public Hall on Sunday 14th April
FIRST YOU NEED A TICKET
There are 2 different types of tickets for this event…
If you’ve never been before then you will need to grab a NEW SWAPPER TICKET for £10. This will get you entry into the event and your own Stuffed with Style tote bag (you can’t bag new stuff without it!)
Sales for new tickets will close Thursday 11th April
If you’ve been before and have your Stuffed with Style tote bag at the ready then go ahead and buy a REPEAT SWAPPER TICKET for £5. This will get you entry into the event, don’t forget your tote bag (you can’t bag new stuff without it!)
If you’ve lost your tote bag then you will need to buy a NEW SWAPPER TICKET.
YOUR DONATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL
To attend you must donate
at least 5 items
- but the more the merrier!
We accept donations in all styles and all sizes of mens, women’s and children’s clothes, shoes, accessories and fabric - we do not accept homeware, toys or anything else.
Please only donate items in good, wearable/easily fixable condition that are clean! That means no stains and no holes! If you wouldn't stuff it, don't donate it.
A NEW WAY TO DONATE
Because we have a new venue we will be accepting donations the morning of the event
between 9am and 12pm ONLY
We can’t take donations before or after this time.
Please bring your bag of donations to Porthleven Public Hall and hand over to us at the door, you will need to provide the name you booked your ticket under so that we can tick you off our list.
Everyone must donate, we can’t do this event without your donations so we do require that you donate at least 5 items (there’s no max, donate as much as you like!)
TIME TO STUFF!
The event starts at 2pm - 3pm
Arrive at Porthleven Public Hall. We advise getting there when the event starts to get first dibs (This is a popular event, we have had queues before, so please be mindful and polite while waiting, you will all get in!)
At the door you will need to provide the name you booked your ticket under so we can tick you off our list. If you’re new, you will be handed your Stuffed with Style tote bag. If you’ve been before don’t forget to bring your Stuffed with Style tote bag!!!!
YOU CAN ONLY USE A STUFFED WITH STYLE TOTE BAG! This keeps everything fair. Don’t worry you can stuff A LOT into these bags!
You’re ready to get stuffing! Fill your bag with as much as you can, we won’t judge if its stuffed to the top!!!
All your donations have been sorted into sections, we focus on the clothing type; not the size or gender, so there will be a section for tops, trousers, dresses etc. We do keep childrens in a separate section.
Once you’re all stuffed out, give us a wave goodbye and enjoy your brand new to you wardrobe! Don’t forget to tag us in any pics!
